Ready to find true purpose in your work?
10% of Europe’s CO₂ emissions are caused by residential heating and energy bills are out of control. Aira is here to change that.
With our intelligent Aira Heat Pump at the heart, we’re making the switch to clean energy-tech easier and more affordable. Helping Europe turn off gas and slashing energy costs one home at a time.
Founded in 2022, and with 1000+ employees and counting, Aira is driving the clean energy revolution by providing homes with modern clean energy-tech solutions such as solar power, battery storage solutions and heat pumps. With a state-of-the-art production facility in Poland, an HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and hubs across the UK, Germany and Italy, Aira is well on track to install clean energy-tech into 5 million homes by 2034.
Join Aira Jeden factory team now and lead the green energy revolution together with us at the very beginning, where it all starts.
About the role
As part of Aira’s ambitious factory expansion, we are looking for a highly experienced Logistics Engineer with a strong Project Management track record to join our PMO & Engineering Team.
In this role, you will plan, lead, and execute the end-to-end logistics workstream within a large-scale brownfield industrial project. You will take ownership of the design, development, and implementation of robust logistics processes—laying the foundation for both manual and fully automated logistics operations that support Aira’s growing production footprint.
We are specifically seeking a candidate with proven hands-on experience in setting up manual logistics processes and tools in facilities of 10,000 m² or more, and who can strategically and tactically plan the expansion to a fully automated 30,000 m² logistics operation.
Key Scope Areas:
- Inbound logistics for raw materials and components via truck and train
- Warehouse layout and storage systems for efficient material handling
- Assembly line supply flow design and optimization
- Raw material feeding to manufacturing cells and in-house production lines
- Picking and packing processes for accessory material and finished goods
- Outbound logistics including shipment staging and dispatch
This is Wroclaw based B2B consultant role.
What are the responsibilities?
- Own and lead the logistics workstream within Aira’s large-scale brownfield factory expansion project—driving strategy, execution, and delivery across all phases from concept to go-live.
- Define and execute the logistics master plan, covering the transition from 10,000 m² manual operations to a fully automated 30,000 m² logistics environment.
- Develop and validate logistics infrastructure, layouts, and material flow strategies for:
- Inbound logistics via truck and train
- Warehouse design and storage optimization
- Assembly line supply and kitting
- Material feeding to in-house manufacturing cells
- Picking and packing of components and finished goods
- Outbound shipping and staging
- Take full ownership of logistics-related budgeting, including capital expenditure (CAPEX), cost estimation, and value engineering of proposed solutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage key logistics technology and equipment suppliers, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project milestones and quality expectations.
- Lead procurement specifications and tender processes for material handling equipment, automation systems (AGVs, conveyors, AS/RS), and warehouse infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from Engineering, Production, IT, Procurement, and external system integrators to ensure seamless implementation.
- Ensure end-to-end integration with digital systems, including ERP (preferably D365) and WMS platforms, to support traceability, inventory accuracy, and operational control.
- Manage and coach a cross-functional logistics engineering team (5–8 members), ensuring effective execution, workload prioritization, and stakeholder alignment.
- Monitor project status against timelines and deliverables, using structured tools to track progress and risks; escalate and resolve bottlenecks proactively.
- Leverage data analysis tools (Power BI, Excel, or others) to evaluate logistics scenarios, simulate flows, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and documentation to communicate key decisions, investment proposals, and progress reports to leadership.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in logistics engineering, warehouse design, or supply chain operations—preferably within high-volume manufacturing (e.g., HVAC, automotive, electronics, or white goods).
- Proven track record of leading greenfield or brownfield logistics projects, including the successful implementation of manual and automated logistics systems at scale (≥10,000 m² facilities).
- Strong experience in material flow design, warehouse layout planning, and internal logistics optimization—from inbound through production supply to outbound.
- Hands-on experience with automated systems such as AGVs, AS/RS, conveyors, shuttle systems, and other smart intralogistics technologies.
- Solid knowledge of WMS systems and warehouse processes; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated success in managing project budgets, CAPEX planning, and logistics-related investments.
- Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and integrators for equipment, automation, and systems integration.
- Strong project management skills, including timeline ownership, risk management, cross-functional coordination, and milestone delivery.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for documentation and stakeholder communication, and Excel/Power BI for logistics data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across departments and lead a cross-functional logistics team.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Polish is highly desirable. Additional language skills are considered an asset
