About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Industrial Equipment Specialist to join our industrial equipment team. This role is central to ensuring our production has the right tools, fixtures, and equipment to operate safely, efficiently, and at the highest standards. From simple transportation tools and intralogistics solutions to advanced tooling for production lines, this position combines design, build, installation, and training responsibilities.
This is a B2B consultant role located in Wroclaw and requires on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and install production tools, including jigs, fixtures, and intralogistics equipment.
- Integrate DFM/DFA principles into all design activities.
- Ensure all tools comply with safety, ergonomics, and CE marking requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation and user manuals.
- Work hands-on to support the team in developing and installing tools on production lines.
- Train operators in the correct and safe use of tools.
- Coordinate the building and commissioning our in-house assembly lines.
- Support the Production Maintenance team with preventive, planned, and reactive maintenance activities.
- Perform strength calculations, select materials, and coordinate material orders.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers of materials and components.
- Apply knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems where applicable.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in designing, building, and installing tools in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of ergonomics, safety standards, and CE marking requirements.
- Experience in assembly line installation and commissioning.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software for designing, modeling, and detailing production tools.
- Solid understanding of preventive and reactive maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform strength calculations and select appropriate materials.
- Practical experience in sourcing materials and collaborating with suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support and coach team members.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Delivery of tools and equipment on time, to specification, and within cost targets.
- Compliance with safety, ergonomics, and CE marking standards.
- Contribution to effective installation and commissioning of assembly lines.
- Reliability and functionality of tools in production.
- Uptime contribution through support to maintenance activities.
- Efficient material coordination and supplier management.
- Demonstrated competence transfer to operators and team members.
