Software Engineer - Installation & Customer Care
Change. It's in the air.
10% of Europe’s CO₂ emissions are caused by residential heating and energy bills are out of control. Aira is here to change that.
With our intelligent Aira Heat Pump at the heart, we’re making the switch to clean energy-tech easier and more affordable. Helping Europe turn off gas and slashing energy costs one home at a time.
Founded in 2022, and with 1000+ employees and counting, Aira is driving the clean energy revolution by providing homes with modern clean energy-tech solutions such as solar power, battery storage solutions and heat pumps. With a state-of-the-art production facility in Poland, an HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and hubs across the UK, Germany, and Italy, Aira is well on track to install clean energy-tech into 5 million homes by 2034.
About the role
As a Software Engineer on our Installations & Customer Care team, you’ll shape how clean energy gets delivered by designing and building the digital backbone for our field workforce. This is not just about coding features — it’s about engineering systems that replace manual, fragmented workflows with scalable, data-driven solutions.
You’ll work at the intersection of software and real-world operations, driving technical decisions that directly impact installers, technicians, and customers. From architecting services that streamline collaboration to scaling infrastructure across new regions, you’ll own discovery as much as delivery, ensuring the tools we build solve the right problems at scale.
In this role, you will:
- Own end-to-end design and implementation of systems that bring structure, efficiency, and traceability to field operations
- Architect intelligent tools that replace manual paperwork and disconnected workflows with scalable digital solutions
- Build services that simplify collaboration and handovers between installers, planners, and support teams, reducing friction across the customer journey
- Leverage operational data to design platforms that surface insights, drive continuous improvement, and guide smarter decision-making at scale
- Design resilient infrastructure that empowers a traditionally non-digital workforce to rely on intuitive tools in their daily work
- Support proactive maintenance, diagnostics, and revisit scheduling to improve long-term customer outcomes
- Scale systems into new regions and markets, adapting to diverse requirements, work practices, and service models
We’re changing how clean energy is installed and maintained — making it smarter, faster, and better for everyone involved. If you thrive on discovery, solving complex problems, and building systems that empower people in the field, this is the role for you.
