About the role:
As our Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that stakeholders across Aira have access to timely, reliable and credible sustainability data. You will lead our climate accounting, track emissions performance, and support our preparations for CSRD compliance.
This is a unique opportunity to join Aira at a growth stage, where you will have a real influence on shaping processes, setting guidelines, training teams, and establishing effective reporting structures. Working closely with our Sustainability Director and cross-functional teams in multiple markets, you will help integrate sustainability into the heart of our operations.
Your responsibilities:
Climate & emissions accounting
- Track, analyse, and report on Aira’s emissions performance
- Lead climate accounting activities and ensure CRSD compliance
Sustainability reporting & insights
- Develop and maintain internal sustainability (ESG) reporting structures across operations, product and supply chain
- Support preparation of the annual sustainability statement
- Compile data, analysis and reports to support decision-making for management, the board, investors and certification processes
Projects & cross-functional collaboration
- Participate in sustainability projects, including sustainable sourcing and supply chain management
- Provide expertise, guidance and training to colleagues across the organisation
- Monitor reporting trends and implement best practice
Tools & innovation
- Manage and develop sustainability reporting software solutions
- Streamline processes for efficiency and transparency
What we expect:
Education & experience
- Minimum B.Sc. degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in consulting, auditing, or as a Sustainability Specialist/Controller
Technical knowledge
- Proven experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. GHG Protocol, EU Taxonomy, GRI, CSRD)
- Curiosity or experience with Life Cycle Assessments
Skills & mindset
- Excellent communication skills in English; other European languages are an advantage
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach
- Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable with ambiguity and passionate about learning, growth and driving change
- Track record of challenging the status quo and delivering improvements
