About the role
The Financial Accountant reports into the Finance manager and is a detail-orientated and analytical team member, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting on financial reporting and analysis. This role will play a key role in month-end and year-end close processes, financial statements preparation and audit coordination.
What you will be doing
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP)
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or trends
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
What we would like you to have
Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
2+ years of financial management or accounting experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent understanding of financial principles and reporting.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
