About the role
We are looking for a skilled Industrial Development Engineer with a focus on electrical engineering to join our growing team at Aira Jeden factory in Wroclaw, Poland.
In this role, you will design electrical assembly processes, develop automated test equipment, and support the industrialization of advanced test systems, including electrical control cabinets and end-of-line testing. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in HVAC or white goods industries, expertise in LabVIEW development, and a passion for advancing electrical assembly and testing automation.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and optimizing electrical assembly processes for components such as electrical control cabinets, cable harnesses, and PCBA.
- Leading the development, implementation, and validation of advanced test equipment:
- electrical control cabinets,
- End-of-Line (EOL) testing for final assembled HVAC units,
- cable harness,
- PCBA.
- Ensuring all test systems meet safety, compliance, and quality standards.
- Identifying and working with external equipment suppliers, manage RFQs, and supervise equipment commissioning.
- Providing technical support for troubleshooting electrical assembly and test-related issues during ramp-up and serial production.
- Driving continuous improvement in testing methods, including cycle time reduction, data analysis, and failure mode detection.
- Supporting factory digitalization initiatives, integrating test data with MES/WMS systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Automation Engineers.
- Facilitating the development of competencies of Aira 1 team.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and test equipment development in the HVAC or white goods industry (strongly preferred).
- Proven expertise in LabVIEW for developing automated test systems.
- Experience with PLC integration, data acquisition systems (DAQ), and instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring standards, and safety protocols.
- Hands-on experience in EOL testing, PCB testing, and E-Box validation.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Business proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
- Experience with NI TestStand, LabVIEW FPGA, or real-time systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as UL, CE, and ISO 9001 related to electrical testing.
- Experience in designing test jigs, fixtures, and automated functional test stations.
