Right now, we're looking for an experienced Heat Pump Installer to join Aira as our new Team Leader, where you'll be responsible for ensuring that high quality heat pump installations are carried out safely and efficiently and leading your team to deliver outstanding customer service every single day.
What you'll be doing as a Heat Pump Maintenance and Repair Engineer at Aira
As a Maintenance and Repair Engineer at Aira, you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality maintenance and repair is carried out safely and efficiently, working closely with your team to deliver outstanding customer service on every job.
You'll receive world class training on the Aira Heat Pump and other Aira products, but you'll need to join Aira with good knowledge and experience with central heating breakdowns, fault finding and repair. Your role will be a combination of maintenance and upgrade work, breakdowns and fault-finding, as well as routine servicing and aftercare. You'll be working right across your region, and will sometimes be required to support with installations if needed.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8-5, however there will be rostered / callout work in-line with customer demand. You'll be paid overtime for work or travelling over your standard 40 hour week.
At Aira we strongly believe in supporting our colleagues' development. Candidates who join Aira as a Maintenance and Repair Engineer may look to progress into Team Leader roles, but also management, coaching, and training positions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Repairing Air Source Heat Pumps
- Draining systems, replacing components, refilling, and commissioning
- Diagnosing issues relating to under-performance of Air Source Heat Pumps
- Diagnosing and repairing system wiring issues
- Optimising system performance through expert adjustment of control parameters
- Supporting on Air Source Heat Pump installations
- Replacing radiators, cylinders, Air Source Heat Pumps, and pipework
- Routine servicing and maintenance of Air Source Heat Pumps and Cylinders
- Supporting Aira customers with expert advice
- Supporting Aira colleagues with expert advice
- Keeping accurate records of work carried out, and always delivering exceptional customer service
What we would like you to have as a Heat Pump Maintenance and Repair Engineer at Aira
We will provide all necessary Aira specific Air Source Heat Pump training at our own Aira Academy's throughout the UK, however we need you to have the following:
- Service, maintenance, and central heating breakdown experience (Preferably with Heat Pumps, but Gas & Oil boiler experience will also be considered)
- NVQ level 2 plumbing (or equivalent)
- Gas Qualifications
- WRAS Qualifications (Water Regs)
- Unvented hot water systems (Part G)
- Central heating installation experience (radiators, cylinders, pipework)
- NVQ Level 3 plumbing (or equivalent)
- Level 3 heat pumps
- F-Gas Category 1
