The role:
The Procurement & Logistic Manager responsibility is to optimize our supply chain operations and ensure the availability of products and materials, equipment, and services required for our projects. This position also oversee and optimize the movement, storage, and distribution of goods across our supply chain, being responsible for ensuring that products are delivered efficiently, on time, and in the most cost-effective manner.
Some traveling to our local hubs is required (Marche, Lombardia, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Lazio).
Main Accountabilities:
1. Procurement Strategy
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company operational needs and goals;
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements;
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
2. Supply Management
- Source and qualify new suppliers to ensure a diverse and reliable supply chain;
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals;
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and service expectations.
3. Purchasing Operations
- Oversee the procurement process, from purchase requisition to order fulfillment
- Run the purchasing processes within the company’s ERP tool and guarantee timely updates and reporting;
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services, managing any delays or issues that arise;
- Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
4. Cost Management
- Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and budget adherence;
- Conduct cost analyses and identify areas for potential savings;
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
5. Logistic Strategy
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company objectives and needs;
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for logistics optimization, including planning, inventory management, and warehouse operations;
- Work closely with central functions, local operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain;
- Guarantee that all roles involved are properly informed and trained on logistig processes.
6. Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehousing operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods;
- Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs;
- Ensure accuracy in inventory tracking and implement best practices to reduce shrinkage and improve efficiency;
- Guarantee that all roles involved are properly informed and trained on warehouse and inventory processes.
7. Process Improvement and Reporting
- Analyze and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality
- Prepare and present regular reports on relevant performance, including KPIs, cost analyses, and service metrics
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of supply chain management and logistic processes;
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiation;
- Experience in HVAC industry;
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365);
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions;
- Experience in the installation industry;
- knowledge of logistics processes.
