About the role  

Join our expanding Engagement area and play a key role in the Application Services team as a Full-stack Developer (in-house, full-time), creating, expanding, and maintaining web and mobile apps that create an exceptional Aira experience.

The Application Services team's focus is on creating world-class product-driven software for both our customers—end users of Aira’s green energy tech—and our internal users, such as Aira heat pump installers.

On one hand, these apps need to be clean, easy to use and intuitive to enable effortless UX. However, at the same time, they must integrate, distribute, and efficiently manage multi-channel live data points (including IoT) and offer them internally via APIs to enable Aira product readiness in daily operations and support customers in making informed energy decisions.

This is a Full Stack Developer role, back-end heavy, with front-end sense & experience needed to be involved in technical discussions to push the product development forward.

What is the role about?

• Writing, maintaining and enhancing clean, scalable code including thorough testing
• Using Kotlin to design, implement and maintain back-end services that serve the app and distribute the data in microservice architecture
• Building real-time streaming data pipelines and real-time streaming applications with Kafka
• Collaborating with other Aira Engagement teams (Connectivity, IoT), and implementing integrations with e.g., external energy tariffs providers and upcoming projects related to expanding Aira green tech solutions portfolio
• Demonstrating expertise in system architecture, (relational and non-relational) database design, AWS cloud operations as well as building and integrating APIs 
• Contributing to the implementation of app features using Flutter, including handling user accounts, providing, and supporting integrations with Identity Providers for both installers and customers
• Actively engaging in ongoing discussions regarding design and device lifecycles
• Applying Agile methodologies and collaborating in cross-functional teams

What are we looking for?

• Mid to Senior profile with 5+ years of experience in Full Stack Developer role (back-end heavy)
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java Spring Boot, Flutter, Angular, AWS, Kafka is preferable, but we are flexible - e.g. experience in Go, Node.JS or Java for back-end might be sufficient too
• Experience in product-driven development, microservices, building & integrating APIs, system architecture, database design, and software development principles
• Right seniority and mindset to take on responsibility, and ownership and enable mission-critical discussions
• Availability and openness to work from the office - currently we aim at 4 days a week on-site model
